Zoe Saldana's parents, Asalia And Aridio Saldana, were born 19 June 1978 in Passaic New Jersey. Her parents, Aridio and Asalia were both born in Puerto Rico. She was born in Queens. Her family and she moved to Dominican Republic at the age of 10, where they'd stay for the rest of seven years. In the Dominican Republic, Zoe discovered a keen passion for performance dancing and began her training at the prestigious ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy in which she was taught ballet, as well as various other forms of dance.
